I loved reorganizing my pantry!!! I wish now that I had taken a “before” picture but maybe not…..it was a mess, snacks tumbling out unbidden, no area to walk into the pantry because of all of the boxes of juice scattered over the floor.

This was a surprisingly easy task with inspiration taken from www.perfectlyplaced.org. I had a hard time finding the white holey baskets here in Canada. My search was successful after many days of dragging my husband around to our department stores and hardware stores. Rona had them!!! Yay, Rona!!! I found my large containers for gluten free flour mixes at Pet Smart, Buddeez which are available online but I didn’t want to wait. Love it and so far, it has made life a lot easier. Now to finish off!

My family loves the results too and I believe that it is freeing, knowing where things are and having a place to put them. I didn’t realize how much time I was wasting, rooting around in the pantry for things I should have been able to put my hands on. With the majority of our family having to eat gluten free, having a bread mix is a blessing and something that I had put off doing. It makes throwing together a loaf of bread so easy!!

Sometimes the catalyst for change in our life is a word spoken lightly by a friend, sometimes it is an action or cataclysmic event that we did not see coming. We can be strolling through the local grocery store and a song from the past catches our ear and we think “What if?”.

The magic comes when we recognize the change that happens in that millisecond. It is the moment in time when we change paths…..when we make u-turns, take the road less travelled, or create our own roads. The change can be as subtle as a whisper in our minds or as heavy handed as being hit by a sledge hammer.
