I had the privilege of sampling them at an Easter dinner that Kaelie hosted&#8230;I had to have two! My entire family enjoyed them. If you are a peanut butter and chocolate fan, this marries the best of both worlds! It reminds me of a peanut butter cup chocolate that shall remain nameless&#8230;lol&#8230;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/sherievenner.com\/thesehealthyelements\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Kaeliepeanutbutterbrownie_opt.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-507\" title=\"Kaeliepeanutbutterbrownie_opt\" alt=\"gluten_free_peanut_butter_brownie\" src=\"http:\/\/sherievenner.com\/thesehealthyelements\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Kaeliepeanutbutterbrownie_opt.jpg\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sherievenner.com\/thesehealthyelements\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Kaeliepeanutbutterbrownie_opt.jpg 400w, https:\/\/sherievenner.com\/thesehealthyelements\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Kaeliepeanutbutterbrownie_opt-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/><\/a>\n<h3><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">Peanut Butter Topped Gluten Free Brownies Recipe<!--more--><\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><em>by Kaelie Ann Huculak Belanger<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">1 1\/2 cups of gluten free <a href=\"http:\/\/sherievenner.com\/thesehealthyelements\/gluten-free-purpose-mix-recipe\/\">all purpose flour mix<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">1 tsp of sifted gluten free baking powder<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">3\/4 tsp of sea salt<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">2\/3 cups of butter or margarine or coconut oil or a combination<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">2 cups of granulated white sugar<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">4 large eggs<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">1 cup of gluten free semi sweet chocolate chips (melted in your microwave for 2-3 minutes)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">1\/2 cup of your favorite brand of \u00a0low fat peanut butter (or you can use full fat peanut butter, if you prefer)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 9 by 13 inch pan (either glass, metal or ceramic) with pam, lard, shortening or coconut oil. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">In a medium sized mixing bowl beat the butter (or margarine, coconut oil, or combination) with the white granulated sugar for 4 minutes on medium speed until fluffy and well combined. Gradually beat in the eggs one at a time, scraping the mixing bowl often.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Beat in the gluten free all purpose flour mix, slowly until mixed well. Now comes the fun part! Take 2 cups of the gluten free batter and remove to separate\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">b<\/span><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">owl that is medium sized.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Add the melted chocolate to the bowl with 2 cups of the brownie batter. Stir briskly until the chocolate is mixed into the batter well and spread evenly in the bottom of the greased 9 x 13 baking pan. Use the back of a spoon to even it out.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Add the 1\/2 cup of your \u00a0favorite brand of peanut butter (if you are adventurous, you can make your own peanut butter) to the remaining batter and beat until smooth. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, geneva, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\">Spoon the gluten free peanut butter batter over the chocolate batter and spread as evenly as possible. Cut the brownies while still warm. Enjoy this mouth watering treat that will make memories of childhood!!!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">I think that one of the special things about these gluten free peanut butter topped brownies is that they are unique enough to be a special treat&#8230;and yet, easy enough to be on your baking list permanently. They look and taste special without needing a lot of work. If you keep a big batch of the all purpose mix on hand, you can whip these up in a matter of 10 minutes, which is quicker than a trip to a specialty store for a great gluten free goodie!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\"><span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva,sans-serif;\">If you give this recipe a try, let us know how they turn out!
